The Rwandan Government hosted the Eighth Session of the ARFSD 2022 with the theme: ”Building forward better: A green, inclusive and resilient Africa poised to achieve the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063.”

The event was concluded with the adoption of the Kigali Declaration on good practices and solutions to enhance implementation of the sustainable development goals in Africa, adopted by all 54 member states in attendance. (ARFSD Bulletin Issue2)

The forum is organized annually by the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank and other entities of the United Nations System. It brings together Ministers, senior officials, experts and practitioners from UN member States, private sector, civil society, academia and UN organisations
