The Ibrahim Governance Weekend, 2018
The Ibrahim Governance Weekend is the flagship event of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation held annually in different countries. This three days’ event brings together African political and business leaders, representatives from civil society, multilateral and regional institutions, as well as Africa’s major international partners to debate issues of critical importance to Africa. However, the discussions focus more on defining, assessing, and enhancing governance and leadership in the continent.
From April 27-29, 2018, the Mo Ibrahim event took place at the Kigali Convention Centre, Rwanda, and focused on public service in Africa. Moreover, this was the time to welcome and celebrate the 2017 Mo Ibrahim laureate, H.E Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the former president of Liberia. At the end of the forum, there was a public concert that highlighted some of the best African artists’ performances, including, Sauti Sol, The Ben, and more famous local artists.
Throughout this event, Rwanda Events provided the logistical support, airport welcome, accommodation management, transport, registration and accreditation for all the delegates and participants.
